The first step was to correct some anomolies in the original recording. There were small volume reductions in the left channel (a dirty spot on a record head maybe?) for all of Suzy Greenberg & Uncle Penn. After several approaches I decided to create a dual-mono mix of the right channel. There was another noteable change towards the front of Bouncin' and into the quiet section of Divided Sky. The tonal change was compensated for w/ the BBE Sonic Maximizer, with the settings @ 2 for Lo Contour and 3 for Process. The next step was to use Waves X-Noise on each seperate file and render each seperately. The files were loaded into Wavelab's Audio Montage, crossfades were performed at each tape flip and the following mastering processes were applied: Waves 2-band EQ, high pass @ 40Hz, Blue Tubes FA770 compressor, BBE Sonic Maximizer (Lo Contour = 3, Process = 3), Blue Tubes LM2S limiter. The resulting .WAV was tracked in CD-WAV and converted to SHNv3 (seek tables appended).
